I am very excited to be serving my second term as Student Senator, representing the Class of 2011. First term was very successful, with projects ranging from Tenant Training Seminars, to Classroom Inspections, to reviewing the Student Rights Handbook , to Commuinty Safety initiatives. This term I was appointed to be the Senate Treasurer and will work to make sure that all necessary and proper funding is distributed to ensure that all Senate endeavors are executed with optimal preparation.

The Student Senate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute serves and represents the interests of the student body, developing projects and passing legislation within the RPI Union involving academic affairs, facilities, student rights, and all other topics pertinent to the student body. The 40th Student Senate meets regularly each Tuesday at 4:30 pm in Union 3202.

Welcome to the Fall Term!

Welcome back to RPI for Fall 2009. We will be updating minutes and looking at several other exciting initiatives in the next couple weeks.

One area that we hope will be much more active is the Senate Blog, where we will be posting every week or two.
