Pass/No Fail First Semester/Year

Having the first semester or first year for freshmen at RPI be "pass/no fail" was an idea brought up in the Faculty Senate Curriculum Committee by a professor. The Student Senate has recognized this as a possibility in future years and is in the process of gathering feedback on this issue from students, particularly current freshmen. If you'd like to offer an opinion or get involved in the discussion on this issue, email the Academic Affairs Committee at academics@rpisenate.com or leusnj@rpi.edu for more details.

Peer Advising Program

Have a question about the Outing Club? Wondering what it's like to co-op at General Electric? These questions are easily answered when you're asking an RPI student who's been involved and knows the ropes. With the Peer Advising Program being started by the AAC, you'd be able to find a Student Advisor to answer any specific questions you may have about courses to take, clubs to join, or even places to eat in Troy! The Peer Advising Pilot Program will be rolling out in the School of H&SS next semester, so look for more updates or contact Julia Leusner (leusnj@rpi.edu) if you'd like to hear more or get involved!
